Hire me and I’ll clack away at the keys to create on-the-spot poems for your guests in minutes based on their prompts.
Created on one of my three vintage typewriters, guests get an A6 poem on high quality, FairTrade, cotton rag paper in a wax sealed envelope to take away.
Priced per hour, please bear in mind that poems in this format are uneditable, so they’ll contain a quirky imperfection here and there.

2 hours: £300
3 hours: £400
Full day (4+ hours): £800
*travel costs may be added for travelling to venues outside of a 2 hour radius of Manchester

What’s included?
For Weddings:
A6 Poems written on the spot for your guests about anything they want in 5-10 minutes headed with your name & wedding date
Wallet-sized pre-written love verses that your guests can have personalised, so they still have a momento of your day if they can’t think of a topic for a poem (we could discuss adding your favourite song lyrics/quotes that are meaningful to you on these)
A framed, A4 type up of the lyrics to your first dance song
Plus a little surprise as my thanks for being part of your special day.
Other Events:
A6 Poems written on the spot for your guests about anything they want in 5-10 minutes headed with your event name
Wallet sized pre-written verses of your choice. These could be relevant to your brand, or themed around your event in any way. I’d work together with you on these ahead of the event.
A framed, A4 type-up of your choice. This could be anything! Here are some examples:
A book blurb for a book launch
Your business core values for a business launch
Typed up testimonials of your product/service from your guests for a business anniversary
Plus, a voucher for you to redeem one free framed A5 poem about any topic of your choice.
What I’d need from you
A sturdy table & chair on site to set up - I’ll bring the typewriter (plus an emergency one on standby to ensure there’s no disruption of service since machines can be unpredictable if a part needs replacing)
Things to note for location:
Typewriter keys are loud, some love the sound, but you may want it set back from where your guests are talking
I’m happy to be located outside, but this is weather permitting & an inside location would need to be in place as a back up
If you have live music or other noisy entertainment, please don’t sit me too close to them - it could be distracting for both parties
