On poem orders
I want a poem for someone but I don’t know what I want it to be about. What information do you need from me?
When you order a custom poem, there’s a mandatory space to give a short description of what you want it to be about. Tell me who it’s for and who they are to you, and if you don’t know what else to ask for, order it anyway and I can ask guiding questions to get more information. Here are some examples to help you along: Do you have any in-jokes to incorporate? A shared favourite song or saying you always say? Any memories you have together to call back to? Nicknames? Anything about them, like a pet, or their passion/hobby?
How much is a custom poem?
Current prices are:
£12.5 for an A6 poem
£16 for an A5 poem
£18.5 for an A4 poem
What size should I order?
It depends how much you’d like to include in the poem. As a guide, I’d say:
A6 = 4-5 verses
A5 = 6-7 verses
A4 = 8-9 verses
On event hire
Can the paper match my event/brand stationery?
Absolutely! So long as the booking is made in plenty of time, I’ll arrange a chat with you to discuss options like paper colour, wax stamp colour, pre-branded paper, or utilising an embosser to mark your special day in a more subtle way on the paper.
How many poems can you write an hour?
You can expect a minimum of 12 poems per hour - one every 5 minutes, though some can take a little quicker. One bride found that the wedding party didn’t get chance to come for a poem as they were ‘on duty’ so we arranged some further poems for them as a thank you present, so this can also be an option.
If you want multiple poets at your event I may be able to reach out to peers to arrange this.

On the Poetry Coterie
What is it?
The Poetry Coterie is a physical poetry subscription service. Subscribers get a poem posted to them every month. A poem that can’t be found anywhere else.
What do I get?
Each month, subscribers receive:
1x printed newsletter
1x A6 printed poem on cotton paper - the original hand typed poem will be sent to one person at random each month, with a certificate of authenticity to confirm
1x wallet sized positive quote
enter your birthday month upon sign up, and on that month you’ll receive a birthday poem inspired by your birth flower.
Each month, the poems will have a focus on positivity, resilience, and optimism. The world can be bleak, but I intentionally don’t want to bring current affairs into these poems, not out of ignorance, but as an act of radical optimism and the belief that creative connection is a Good Thing for the human race.

How much is it?
For the cost of 2 flat whites, your subscription costs £7 per month.
What if I want to cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime. Payments will be taken on the same day each month, so cancelled subscriptions after the payment date will still receive that month’s poem as the final poem.
